Session 5 - F=ma

This is a special case of Newton's 2nd law where we have a constant mass and uniform acceleration. It's a great way to see how your new mathematical skills can be used for real calculations.

1. Newton's 2nd Law

Watch this video that revises this relationship between F, m and a.

2. Isaac Physics

I filmed this a few months ago, where I go through a whole chapter in the Isaac Physics GCSE book. This will be really useful with some of the questions this week.

3. Isaac Physics - F=ma

Now have a go at these two sets of questions. Each one is a 'Board' where I have selected some questions for you to have a go at. The first one is GCSE standard should be straight forward. The second one is a bit more tricky but you must work hard - you will be able to finish it eventually!

I would suggest that you sign up for a free Isaac Physics account so you can save your progress. I will not be able to see any of your personal data, although in the future you may be able to show your new teachers the work you have completed during this time.

4. Livestream (1st July 2020)

There will be a FREE YouTube livestream at 12pm (UK time) on 1st July 2020 where I will go through any tricky answers to the Isaac Physics questions and answer any other queries you may have. You can also catch up with the replay after the event.
